I had a plan!
Feb. 10th, 2025 07:51 amThe plan was to clean my room Friday night, go to the store Saturday Morning, start cleaning my bathroom Saturday afternoon/evening, then finish on Sunday.
What actually happened was, I did everything in my room except for mopping the floor. Only reason I did not mop is that by the time I got to the vacuuming, I only had enough energy left to put sheets back on my bed. So I decided to do the mopping on Saturday.
But after I was done in my room, I developed tummy issues that carried over into Saturday. I took a risk in going to the store around 10 Saturday morning but it needed to be done. When I got home, I was wiped! And then I remembered that the Super Bowl was Sunday. I watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and the half time show, unless the Cowboys are playing.
So I started watching the pregame because I didn't want to miss the start of the game (that happened one year and I never could find the commercials). There were some funny commercials, some that I hope to NEVER see again, and several for Ontario, Canada (what?). I mute when the pregame stuff is on because I DO NOT care about any of that. At one point, I went on TikTok for some reason. There I found out that we're supposed to be boycotting the Super Bowl because a certain someone was going to be there and there was going to be an interview with them. This pissed me off because this person has NOTHING to do with football or the half time show and the NFL has never interviewed any other person who has had this person's job.
I decided to keep watching unless they showed this person more than once because there are two commercials that were teased for weeks that weren't going to be shown in full until after half time.
I turned it off when, during the national anthem, they showed this person SALUTING. They have never been in the military (they brag about getting out of the draft by having a doctor say they had/have bone spurs) so they should have put their hand over their heart (plus, they weren't even saluting correctly). My father, who served during Vietnam, puts his hand over his heart during the national anthem. In fact, I have never seen anyone other than military personnel who are on duty salute the flag during the national anthem.
I hate that I missed what appears to have been a great game (poor Chiefs, no threepeat). And now I have to see if I can find those two commercials on YouTube. And I will probably not watch another Super Bowl ever if the NFL is going to start bowing down to this person the way they did this year.
I had a rough night, despite sleeping in my bed for over five hours, so I did not walk. I did bathe and make my bed, though.
