I would normally post this on my TikTok page, but I recently gave up my personal page and only do reviews (plus, TikTok might be gone by the end of this week).
My New Year's goals for this year are:
1) Lose weight by walking on the treadmill Mon-Fri and eating healthier
2) Watch at least one of my 400+ DVD each week and leave a review. You can find those here.
3) Try on all the clothes in my closet and get rid of the ones that don't fit/I don't like
4) Make my bed every day
I had every intention of getting up and exercising this morning. Even when I first got up, I was planning on it. But as the morning went on, I started feeling like I was going to puke. So, I told myself that we would reevaluate after my post sleep nap.
And as you probably guessed, I am not feeling any better.
Despite not walking on my treadmill this morning, I did take my blood pressure and glucose reading.
I was hoping I could post photos of my readings but have yet to figure out how to add images without having an account with an image hosting site.
I promise I will never lie about any of my readings, including how much I weigh, and you'll just have to decide if you can trust me. I did not weigh myself this morning but I will tomorrow (if I'm feeling better) before I walk on the treadmill and will weigh myself each Monday.
My blood pressure this morning was 149 over 78. My monitor is showing that as high but not very high. For the record, I am on blood pressure meds.
My glucose reading was 153. According to my doctor it needs to 100 or below. But I have not eaten healthy since Thanksgiving and had a binge weekend. I'm hoping to get it back under 100 (it was under 100 for most of the summer) before my next appointment in February.
When I went to the store Saturday I bought the ingredients for a crock pot meal I had found on TikTok. It's chicken (I found a package of five individually wrapped chicken breasts), green beans, and potatoes. I've made it before and love it.
When I got up from my post sleep nap, I put the chicken in the crock pot, seasoned it with garlic powder, onion powder, and a package of onion soup mix. Then I added two bags of fresh green beans and a three pound bag of baby Yukon potatoes, half a stick of melted butter (couldn't find regular butter so bought a stick of Kerry Gold garlic and herb butter (figured it would only make it even more yummy)), poured it over the top, another package of onion soup mix, and poured some chicken broth over the top. I have it cooking on low for six hours.
Now, I have not done 1, 3, and 4. I have already explained why I didn't do number 1 and that kinda flows into why I didn't do numbers 3 and 4 because I chose not to take a shower and just didn't want to make my bed.
Hopefully I can start exercising and trying on my clothes tomorrow.
