Son of a bitch!
Jan. 17th, 2025 06:17 amSo, I just found out that there is an issue with Capital One and they are holding everyone's direct deposit hostage while they try to fix it. I am now negative in my account. If this isn't fixed that negative number will increase because I have bills that will auto pay over the next few days.
From what I found out this has been a known issue since WEDNESDAY! But they did not inform me this was happening. I had to freak out and go looking for the reason on my own.
I've been using Capital one for about ten years now (I started with a savings account and added the checking a few years later). I like the convenience of an online bank but I guess I could go to any bank since I do most of my banking via the app.
I'm not sure there is any bank out there that doesn't have it's issues. I've used Chase and Wells Fargo. Maybe it's time to try Bank of America?
My blood pressure (taken before I found out about this issue with my bank) was 160 over 77 and my glucose was 99.
Update: I went ahead and transferred the $300 I had in my savings into my checking to cover any bills that will (might) post before Capital One gets their shit together and releases my direct deposit. I can always move the money back once I have access to MY FUCKING PAYCHECK!
