To clarify: it will turn on but the screen stays black. I know from when the laptop I had before this one did this that the hard drive is fine (the repair guy told me that if it had been the hard drive I would have gotten The Blue Screen of Death!) so it is probably the mother board? IIRC that’s what he said, that was nearly ten years ago, so.
I’ve had this one for eight years this month which I know is a really long time in computer years.
I will be offline until I can afford to buy a new one which I’m hoping will be tomorrow when I get paid.
