I've decided that my daughter moving is a good thing. I can concentrate on just me. I can get my life together by learning how to be an adult by getting my apartment as clean as I physically can and get serious about losing weight.

I've already started on the cleaning thing. I've washed all the dishes that I've used today, and some that were in the dishwasher.

Also, I'm going to look into one bedroom apartments. I found some nice ones for less than my part of the rent I'm currently living in which means I'll be able to get off housing and that'll lower my stress over having to go to Denton every year.

I've been too lazy to mention that my parents and my daughter sent me flowers at work Thursday. They picked a stargazer and iris arrangement. Not sure why when they know that my favorite flower is the rose. But whatever.

They arrived in a box so they were buds. By the end of the day Thursday some of them had started to open but they didn't really bloom until Saturday.

Since I didn't get my roses, I bought myself some and added them to the arrangement. The one my parents and daughter gave me came with two packets of flower food and of course the roses came with one so I was able to change the water twice.

The roses are looking a bit worse for wear but the others look okay.

My dad got my taxes done this weekend and I'm getting $4411 back. Woot! I plan on taking $1000 and opening a savings account at another bank to keep me from spending it. That gives me the rest to play with (pay my daughter's dance tuition and some bills and buy some things I really want). I wish it wasn't going to take over two weeks to get here (filed 2/16 probable date of arrival 3/8). Of course I always opt for direct deposit so it just might hit my bank sooner than that.

I'm reading this H50 story that while not very well written (the author isn't a native English speaker) has an interesting plot. Sort of. But that's not what I want to talk about.

I want to talk about how I don't think the author really pays any attention to the show. The thing that keeps throwing me out of the story is that she has Danny using a flip phone. From the pilot episode all members of H50 have used smart phones. It's just really starting to bother me. If I wasn't on the next to last chapter…

Same story as last night: the author has this one phrase that is really starting to annoy me. When someone gives another person a smile, as in 'he gave her what he hoped was a reassuring smile' she says 'he addresses her what he hopes is a reassuring smile'.

In fact, this bothers me more than her having Danny flip open a smart phone.
