Jun. 10th, 2015 07:52 amMy foot is feeling a little bit better.I was unable to figure out to use the crutches, plus it would take me forever to get from my desk to just the bathroom, so I’ve been limping around. One of the LP guys is the type that will run a joke into the ground. Whenever he sees me he starts limping, too. Today I told him that him doing that hurts my feelings.
First words out of his mouth? “Stop being so sensitive.” Then he told me it wasn’t hurting my feelings. When I started to tear up (because it really IS hurting my feelings (I hate having to be dependent on others)) he said he’d stop making fun of my limp.
But the fact that his first response is basically ‘can’t you take a joke?’ just hurt my feelings even more.
