Update on my asshole of an ex

logans_girl2001So last Friday I sent Rob that email. When I read it to Vic she told me it was wonderfully sarcastic and even though she was afraid he'd get angry with her she thought it was wonderful.
She was supposed to go to his house, it was his actual weekend, but when she texted him he said he was 'unaware' it was his weekend and April was already home. She calls and the conversation was mostly her saying things like 'I had no idea her schedule had changed'. She had to have said that at least ten times in the two or three minutes they talked.
Well, she wanted to go, not sure why since he doesn't even really like her half the time, so I took her. Shortly after I got back home I got a text from her saying he was refusing to pay for her surgery, dance and/or choir trip. Oh, and he also had an argument with my mother.
I called Mom to get her side of things and was told he was insisting he was only paying $50 for the surgery.
So I texted him and what follows is the conversation I had with him/April.
Me: I just spoke to Mom and she told me that you think your half of Victoria's surgery is $50. I was just wondering where you got that total when I've been telling you it's $100.
Him: Ok. Its* my mistake. Right now I don't have the $100 (it's a link and I'm not sure I should click it). I have other things to pay right now. I will ONLY pay for the medical part but NOT the choir or dance parf.
Me: That's fine but the first payment for her surgery is due next week so I need it.**
Him: When I get a little bit more money, I will start paying the $100 dollars. When I start paying it I don't want a receipt on a regular piece of paper, I want the actual receipt that shows I paid it
Me: I will give you what they send me. How do you suggest I pay $200 and my rent and my electric bill? You said you'd help. I need this money now.
Him: I told you I would pay the medical part. I have rent and car payment to pay next week. It won't be next week. Your asking me to pay at the beginning of the month and that won't happen. I have other bills to pay at the beginning of the month. It is going to have to be in the middle of the month in order for me to start paying it.
Me: Actually I asked for it two weeks ago. You should have paid it then.
Him: I had other bills I had to pay and didn't have it. It will be in two weeks when I get paid again. Why are you making this so difficult?***
Me: I'm not. I don't want to have this go against my credit, which I am just now fixing. You're the one making it difficult. I have just as many bills as you. Actually I have more since I pay for her dance and choir too.****
Him: I'm not making this difficult. I'm tired of fighting with you about anything. I'm trying to meet you half way on everything but your the one that won't work with me. I'm just asking for something easy and I'm not getting it. I to am trying to fix my credit. Again I'm tired of fighting with you. I just want us to get along so we can actually have a normal conversation.******
Me: Wow. Our definitions of arguing must be completely different because I thought we were having a normal conversation. Guess I was wrong. It's just that I haven't budgeted for an extra $200 this payday and if I don't pay rent and electric then I'm screwed because we'll lose our home and have the power turned off.
Him: Again I'm not arguing. We are having a normal conversation. I am doing the same as you regarding fixing the credit. I haven't figured that part out either. I will figure it out in two weeks. I just don't have it right now. Please understand and forgive me on that*******
Me: I can't because I was counting on you having your part.
Him: Well again I'm sorry for any problems I'm causing or if I'm causing. I will pay it in two weeks, until then I am sorry
Me: When you pay me in two weeks, it needs to be for $100. Then you can start paying $50 every two weeks after that.
Him: That's fair
Me: Thank you.
Him: Its no problem. Then after I do that can you show me proof that I paid it by having a actual receipt
Me: I told you I'd give you what they send me. You'll having to be patient for that because they'll have to mail it to me.
Him: That's fine. I will be patient with you. When you get the actual receipt, please send that to me ok
Me: I will take it to work and scan it, then email it to you.
Him: That's fine. Again I will not push the issue********
It's times like this that make me wish he wasn't Vic's father.
