When someone answers the phone the proper way to greet them is ‘Hi, [their name if you want to be friendly]. This is [your name] with [company you work for]. I need some assistance with [reason for your call].’
DO NOT say ‘Yeah I need some assistance with our account’ because the person on the other end of the line will have NO CLUE as to what you’re talking about.
And if you DO decide to go with option number two, DO NOT, for the love of Mike, heave a put upon sigh when they ask you to identify yourself.
