Snowflake Challenge Day One

A few weeks ago the person who usually runs the snowflake_challenge posted that they no longer had the spoons available to run it this year. I was sad because I look forward to this all year but I understood about how 2016 drained nearly everyone of all their energy.

So, imagine my surprise when I got up this morning to find a post stating that someone stepped up and the challenge will continue.

Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I have not written anything for over a year except for a story I wrote the first week of October while on vacation with friends (squee_in), but I hand wrote it and have not found the motivation to type it up, and two stories I wrote this past week but they're for fandom_stocking so I can't link to them just yet.

That being said, I'm going to rec old stories (because I'm not sure if I've ever rec'd them before or not):

Back in 2003 I came across a series of stories written as a way to keep Tim Speedle (CSI: Miami) alive by making him a vampire. A whole fandom sprang up around it because it was a multi fandom series. I even got into it and so the three stories I'm rec'ing are my version of this series.

1) Rogue: Dark Blue, Carter/Dean. Dean is a one thousand plus year-old Vampire and Carter is his Mate.

2) The Solider and the Scientist: Stargate Atlantis, John/Rodney. John is a five hundred plus year-old Vampire and Rodney is his Mate.

3) The Edge of Forever: Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny. Steve and Danny have been Bonded for over twelve hundred years but have been estranged for most of it when they 'meet' in Hawai'i while Danny is investigating the murder of Steve's father.

They are long. And be warned, it is unfinished. One of the things I plan to do this year is finish at least one of my WIPs.
