I work in accounting so the last week in December is month end/year end/quarter end (yes, all THREE at once!). To make matters worse, we have Christmas and New Year's back to back. Going into last week I was a week or so behind because I was off Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the Monday after.

When I got back to work on Tuesday I had a set goal for each of the four days. I passed my goal each day. Tuesday it wasn't by that much (IIRC) but Wednesday and Thursday it was by A LOT. So I managed to go into Friday with only two days out. I conquered that no problem. Saturday I did absolutely no keying (to be fair I was only there for three and a half hours because of working over on Tuesday with no OT allowed.

W managed to get OT approved for this week and started a contest to see who could key the most. She only counted what we keyed for three days (Wednesday-Friday). I was one of the winners with three hundred twenty-nine shifts keyed. To try and put this into perspective we have to key three hundred twenty-five shifts a week.

Until this past week I have not keyed more than a few hundred in my nine hour shift but on Wednesday and Thursday I keyed ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO each day. I am still amazed at myself.

Also, I finished all of December's shifts by 4:30 YESTERDAY; our deadline was EOD today.
